It's not quite on the level of the professional football leagues in England, Spain or Italy, but Ireland does have its own professional football (or soccer) league, known as the League of Ireland's SSE Airtricity Premier Division. The most successful club is Shamrock Rovers, which is based outside the city in Tallaght. The closest club to the city centre - and the original Dublin club, dating back to 1890 - is Bohemian FC. Bohemians play home games in Dalymount Park, which, while it has a capacity of only around 5,000 today, used to have a capacity of over 40,000 in its heyday when it was the stadium for international matches.
