This is the best seafood restaurant in Dublin - and perhaps in Ireland. It takes provenance seriously, using only the best locally-caught seafood. Aside from the quality of the food, the service is fantastic and the interior setting adds to the experience, making this a really special restaurant. For starters, go for the Seafood Chowder., Also limited steak and vegetarian options. Like all the best restaurants in Dublin, it's best to make a reservation as early in advance as possible - but you might get lucky even last-minute, particularly if you're flexible on the time.

Specialising in seafood Italian-style, this is universally regarded as one of the best restaurants in Dublin. The emphasis is on simplicity - and excellence. Rosa Madre's fresh Calamari and Gamberi, Lobster tonnarelli, and Ravioli al Tartufo have near legendary status in Dublin by now. So as well as seafood, there's a range of pasta, meat and vegetarian dishes. Intensely popular with locals who often book weeks and months in advance, it can be difficult to get a spot. Worth the effort though!
